Merry, merry Christmas, you guys and welcome to the latest installment in our challenge series based on the new book by our favorite crafty superhero, Tim Holtz!
This challenge utilizes Tim’s Pocket Pages, and we felt like it would be a particularly fun theme for this sentimental time of year. As you’ll see in our samples, the Curiosity Crew and I used this opportunity to create keepsakes that were meaningful to us. We hope you’ll do the same! Open up your copy of A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol.3 to page 36 to learn more about this great addition to Tim’s Idea-ology line.
Please Read This!
Our overarching intention with the CC3C— besides having fun making art, of course!— is to help promote Tim Holtz’s book and products. This challenge is intended specifically for those who’ve invested in their own copy of A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3. We don’t post instructions to the techniques for this reason. If you don’t have a copy, you can order one directly from Tim, who will be glad to autograph it for you!
We realize, of course, that many of the technique’s instructions are available online, and there’s no way for us to truly know if our participants have their own copy of the book. The most we can do is invoke the Honor System, and ask each participant to please respect this rule.
Our other goal with these challenges is to promote our two sponsors, Inspiration Emporium and The Funkie Junkie Boutique. Their generous support is so appreciated! To that end, entries that promote other businesses will not be eligible to win the sponsor prize OR the Curiosity Crew’s Choice.
If you have any questions about the challenge in general, check out the CC3C F.A.Q. here.
Please, please be sure to read and heed the rules listed in the Inlinkz link-up at the end of this post before you submit your piece. too. We don’t have a lot of rules, but those we do have are important, and entrants that don’t follow them will be disqualified.
Win a Box of Goodies from Tim and Mario!
As always, we’ll select a “Curiosity Crew’s Choice” winner who will receive an awesome assortment Tim’s products, courtesy of Tim himself and Mario Rossi, his spectacular Logistics Director and everyone’s favorite “Behind the Scenes” social media superstar (follow Mario on Instagram for sneak peeks of Tim’s latest projects)! To be eligible to win, you must visit each of our team members’ blogs and leave a comment there. You can easily access their blogs by clicking on their project photos (your comment on this post counts as your comment on my blog).
The Funkie Junkie Boutique is back to sponsor Challenge 18, and lovely owner Linda Coughlin has a fabulous $25 shopping spree to one very lucky CC3Cer! For a chance to win, link your project here and link to The Funkie Junkie Boutique in your blog post!
Our Pocket Pages
We kind of had a blast with this!
(Anita and Cheryl took a much-deserved break this time around, but they’ll be back with their awesome art next challenge.)
Okay, it’s your turn to have fun! You need only make one page for this challenge, but of course, if you want to do more, GO FOR IT!!!
Remember, too, if you took part in Challenge 17, check back here next weekend to see if you’re a winner!
We wish you very, very happy holidays and are looking forward to sharing more crafty fun with you in the coming year. Let there be peace on Earth.
