Compendium of Curiosities 3, Challenge 13

Header13

Hello, curious friends, and welcome to the newest Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge! We’re playing our way through the most recent book by the brilliant Tim Holtz, and as always, the Curiosity Crew and I are delighted you’re here!

Before we get to the new challenge, though, I need to know: Did you guys see Tim’s awesome video interview from Sizzix? You’ve got to watch this! For all his mad-genius talent, he’s such a humble, genuine, down to earth guy. Please take a few minutes to check it out and get to know the man whose work is at the heart of this challenge series.

Getting back to this week’s challenge, I’ll bet you already know that Tim’s Idea-ology line offers some of the most versatile and flat-out fun products in the crafting universe! This time around, we’ll be working with his Idea-ology Worn Cover. This is your chance to create your own completely personalized art journal, recipe book, vacation memoir, limerick keeper… whatever you choose! There are several varieties of the Worn Cover to choose from, and you’re welcome to use any of them for this project. Check out page 35 in your copy of  A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol.3, for Tim’s introduction, then go have yourself an artistic soiree!

Share Your Awesomeness!
Everyone is welcome to participate in the CC3C, but you must work from your personal copy of the CC3. If you don’t have a copy, you can order one directly from Tim, who will be glad to autograph it for you. This particular challenge is unique in that there’s not a specific technique, but rather a product that you can alter however you wish. Therefore, our usual rule about not sharing the technique doesn’t apply, so you’re welcome to give detailed instructions about your project if you choose to do so.

If you have any questions about the challenge in general, check out the CC3C F.A.Q. here.

Win! Win BIG!
As always, we’ll select a “Curiosity Crew’s Choice” winner who will receive an awesome assortment Tim’s products, courtesy of Tim himself and Mario Rossi, his Logistic Director and everyone’s favorite “Behind the Scenes” social media rockstar (be sure to follow Mario on Instagram for tons of insider info!). To be eligible to win this special prize, you must visit each of our team members’ blogs and leave a comment there. You can easily access their blogs by clicking on their project photos (your comment on this post counts as your comment on my blog).
