Hello, curious friends, and welcome to Challenge #12 in our celebration of the latest book by everyone’s favorite crafty guy, the one and only Tim Holtz!
This time around, the Curiosity Crew tackled Tim’s Distress Photo Tinting technique. This is an awesome way to vintage-ify your pictures, old or new. Now, you may have seen Tim demonstrate a similar technique using craft nibs, but this is a twist on that process, as you’ll see on page 41 of A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol.3. Please be aware that entries to this challenge must use the technique as it’s presented in the book.
Just a Reminder:
Everyone is welcome to participate in the CC3C, but you must work from your personal copy of the Compendium. The Crew will not be posting technique instructions on our blogs, and participants must not, either. We require this out of respect and appreciation for all the work Tim invested in writing the book. If you don’t have a copy, you can order one directly from Tim, who will be glad to autograph it for you! If you have any questions about the challenge in general, check out the CC3C F.A.Q. here.
Please, please be sure to read and heed the rules listed in the Inlinkz link-up at the end of this post before you submit your piece. We don’t have a lot of rules, but those we do have are important, and entrants that don’t follow them will be disqualified.
Win! Win! Win!
As always, we’ll select a “Curiosity Crew’s Choice” winner who will receive an awesome assortment Tim’s products, courtesy of Tim himself and Mario Rossi, his spectacular Logistics Director and everyone’s favorite “Behind the Scenes” social media rockstar (follow Mario on Instagram for sneak peeks of Tim’s latest projects)! To be eligible to win, you must visit each of our team members’ blogs and leave a comment there. You can easily access their blogs by clicking on their project photos (your comment on this post counts as your comment on my blog).
The Funkie Junkie Boutique is back to sponsor Challenge 12, and lovely owner Linda Coughlin has a fabulous $25 shopping spree to one very lucky CC3Cer! For a chance to win, link your project here and link to The Funkie Junkie Boutique in your blog post!
