Welcome, everyone, to the Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge, based on the new book by crafting luminary and all-around awesome guy, Tim Holtz! We’re so happy you’re here, and we’re looking forward to sharing some awesome, crafty fun with you.
Before we get rolling on this week’s challenge, I’d like to introduce you to the CURIOSITY CREW– Anita Houston, Annette Green, Candy Colwell, Cheryl Grigsby, Hels Sheridan, Marjie Kemper, Susan Mostek and Yvonne Blair. These ladies are dear friends of mine who are ridiculously talented, and who have graciously agreed to create their own “take” on each technique to inspire you! Please visit our CURIOSITY CREW PAGE to learn more about these fabulous designers and find links to their websites and social media.
We know you probably have quite a few questions regarding how this bi-weekly challenge series will work, and rather than fill this post with that info, we’ve created a dedicated CC3C F.A.Q. page. Please take the time to read it before you join in. There’s important stuff there!
We want everyone who participates to have a blast playing with the great techniques in the Compendium 3, and we don’t have a lot of hard rules for the challenge. One rule we’re very committed to, though: We will not be posting technique instructions on our blogs, and we kindly request that you don’t either. All participants should work from their own copy of A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3. We require this out of respect and appreciation for Tim, who put countless hours and passion into writing the book. If you don’t have a copy, you can order one directly from Tim, who will even autograph it for you!
Tim and his Business Manager, Mario Rossi (who, like Tim, is one of the kindest guys in the world!), sent us two HUGE boxes of products to award as prizes throughout this series! The team and I will be selecting a “Curiosity Crew’s Choice” winner for each challenge who will be sent a fantastic selection of Tim’s products! Please note: In order to be eligible to win, you must visit each of our team members’ blogs and leave a comment there. You can easily access their blogs by clicking on their project photos (your comment on this post counts as your comment on my blog).
